Après Ski Collection

Après Ski Collection

Description

The 18-piece Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski apparel collection is designed to offer uncompromising winter sport performance and style for skiers, snowboarders, and all athletes who lean into the mountain lifestyle. At the center of the collection are triple-layer GORE-TEX jackets and pants built for snowstorms, slope-side cocktails, and everything in between.

So high ski fashion is just generic baggy ski clothes, but without a hood. Got it.

Grottoflage Collection

Grottoflage Collection

Grottoflage Collection

Description

The Grottoflage Collection features a unique camouflage pattern designed for outdoor enthusiasts. It combines functionality with style, making it suitable for various activities in nature. The collection includes a range of apparel and gear crafted with high-quality materials to ensure durability and comfort.

Collab between Atomic (equipment) and Arc'teryx (apparel) sharing the same camo print. Probably cool for the right person, not quite for me.

Agravic EVO SL

Agravic EVO SL

Agravic EVO SL

Description

The Agravic EVO SL is a soon-to-be-introduced trail shoe, described as the rebellious cousin of the EVO SL. It is set to be added to the Adidas line-up in 2026, catering to trail lovers.

Adidas is determined to milk every last drop of hype from the EVO SL, and I can't say I blame them. I'm curious about this shoe, given how much I love the EVO SL, but tbd how it handles the increased stability needs of a trail shoe. The EVO SL, while great, is *not* the most stable shoe.

The North Face x Skims Part II

The North Face x Skims Part II

Description

THE NORTH FACE X SKIMS: LAUNCHES DECEMBER 9 AT 6AM PT

Sorry, I can't hear your hot take about how this doesn't fit the TNF brand over the sound of the dump truck full of cash that they're currently backing up. But also, yeah, ughhh. SKIMS is the *epitome* of shitty fast fashion. At least the gear is ostensibly made by TNF, and branded SKIMS, not the other way around. It's going to sell out immediately.

The Endor Collection
12/04

The Endor Collection

Description

A new 20-piece collection inspired by Return of the Jedi and Rebel gear from the forest moon of Endor.

Columbia has been doing these for a while. It must do pretty well for them, otherwise I don't think we'd be seeing these year after year. Whatever your thoughts, it's more effort than the outdoor industry typically puts into most (slap a logo on it) collabs. Can't say I'd ever actually buy anything, but the kid in me kinda wants to. And those kids ewok jackets... 🥺.

R&D Helium Loop Anorak
12/04

R&D Helium Loop Anorak

Description

The R&D Helium Loop Anorak is a world-first proof of concept that demonstrates the potential for down-insulated garments to be designed for circularity. It features Smart Stitch™, a heat-dissolvable thread that allows for easy material separation at the product's end-of-life, enabling the down and material membrane to be recycled individually.

It's only a proof of concept, but super cool to see. A big challenge with the circularity outdoor apparel is often disassembly, and these 'smart stitches' seek to ameliorate that by melting in controlled conditions. Cool stuff from Peak.

ACG Zegama
12/03

ACG Zegama

Description

The ACG Zegama is a rugged, athlete-tested silhouette that combines premium cushioning, protection, and traction to help runners move across the world’s wildest terrain. It features a ZoomX and Cushlon 3.0 midsole for dynamic energy return and stability, along with a Vibram Megagrip outsole for all-terrain traction.

Looks like a great shoe in their trail lineup. I feel like there are going to be takes out of TRE that mention Nike being 'back', although I think the 'sky is falling' takes from ~12 months ago about Nike's failings were probably wildly overstated.

H1
12/02

H1

Description

The Mount to Coast H1 is our road-to-trail running shoe featuring a sustainable yet high-performance CircleCELL midsole. Key features include a VersaGrip™ outsole for exceptional traction and a TUNEDFIT™ Dual Lacing System for customizable fit. The upper is made from jacquard fabric and high-performance woven fabric reinforced with DuPont™ Kevlar® fibers.

Alright, early-ish days still, but I *really* like these. Lightweight, comfortable at a range of distances/speeds, and my new go-to for the 'winter' weather around London where my Evo SLs won't cut it. A "plus" version with *slightly* bigger lugs (and without the double lacing system) would be 🤘.

Afterlight Collection
11/25

Afterlight Collection

Description

The Winter 2025 Collection is described as the largest and most innovative to-date, featuring a variety of accessories, silhouettes, and functional product details. The visual inspiration for this collection sets a unique tone for the season.

I always enjoy Bandit's lookbooks. Really captures the winter running vibe in a city.

TheROCKER
11/25

TheROCKER

Description

TheROCKER delivers long-distance comfort, confident grip, and breathable durability across mixed terrain. It features Euforia™ foam for lightweight responsiveness and durability, a TuneLug™ Vibram® Litebase™ outsole for enhanced traction, and Rippy™ monomesh for excellent breathability.

I saw my first pair of these in the wild yesterday, on the feet of someone who has never even considered trail running. It's a first attempt at footwear from Satisfy, so I imagine there are probably some kinks to work out. But...there are 100% better shoes for less $$$ right now.

Men's (Ski) Sport Coat
11/24

Men's (Ski) Sport Coat

Description

A midlayer for first chair and last round, The Sport Coat is a merino midlayer tailored like a chore coat and engineered for performance on the mountains. It features breathable AirGrid lining, vented underarms, and a slightly cropped fit, making it suitable for wearing underneath ski shells.

First thought: Are you really market this coat as my ski midlayer? Second thought: there are probably a ton of people (casual skiers, Europe) that this is probably great for. If anything, it's an interesting take, even if the knee-jerk reactions from most will be negative. I don't personally think I'll give up my ski midlayer, but I'd wear this around town.

Taika Snow Shell
11/17

Taika Snow Shell

Vuori$448
Description

The Taika Snow Shell is a men's snow jacket designed for harsh conditions, featuring 100% recycled waterproof NetPlus™ 4-layer fabric, fully taped seams, and a 30K waterproof rating.

Ok. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, it was probably a semi-inevitable expansion as Vuori grew. It's probably pretty good (as is most stuff). But, their entire new snow collection does feel a bit uninspired...it's just not quite clicking for me.

Rab x Gramicci Collab Collection
11/16

Rab x Gramicci Collab Collection

Description

Gramicci’s signature style and movement-optimised cuts. Rab's hallmark technical precision.

I've been a fan of Rab for a long time. Their ethos has always been very tied to the rugged, unforgiving climate of the Peak District and Scotland. But, I've always wondered when they'd wade into a more 'style' based collab. I thought it might be with a more iconic UK brand (my thought was Barbour with Rab insulation), but I'm a fan of Gramicci as well.

Adizero EVO SL Shoes
11/15

Adizero EVO SL Shoes

Adidas$150
Description

The Evo SL combines Adizero technology with a bold racing-inspired aesthetic. A responsive layer of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam in the midsole provides comfort and cushioning for optimal energy return.

This shoe has gotten a lot of hype. I'm here to tell you that it's worth it. No, it's not the most stable shoe. But for the price it is a *fantastic* daily/up tempo city shoe. Tbh I've struggled a bit finding my running groove in London, and at least part of that was probably due to not having a dedicated 'city' running shoe. Picked these up a few months ago after seeing the online buzz, and they are so much fun to run in. Will basically everyone at the run club also have them? Yes. Don't expect to feel special. But damn, they're great shoes.

Men's TourTech Bib
11/15

Men's TourTech Bib

Raide$299
Description

These bibs are like a breath of fresh air for your ski days—softshell on top for ventilation and hardshell below for staying dry. Perfect combo for chasing pow without overheating!

Half the fun of a new Raide launch is watching a video of Kyle talking about how much thought he put into every decision. Yeah, they're expensive bibs specifically for touring, but damn, they're so thoughtfully designed.

HY 13 FREE
11/05

HY 13 FREE

Description

These bindings are all about that lightweight flex while still delivering alpine-level performance. Perfect for anyone who wants to shred the gnar and tour without feeling like they're hauling a ton of bricks.

Look, I can't quite articulate why these bindings feel sexy. But ATK makes one of the highest-quality feeling products in the ski market and I'm excited to see their first "true" hybrid alpine/touring binding. That machined aluminum...ooof.

Ever Rest - Desert Sand

Ever Rest - Desert Sand

Description

Designed to bring the comfort and excitement of hiking into daily life.

New brand discovery for me, actually love the style of these. Boston clog-esque with gorpcore twist.

Alpine GORE-TEX C-Knit™ 3L Shell Jacket Men
11/03

Alpine GORE-TEX C-Knit™ 3L Shell Jacket Men

Description

Hit the slopes and look fly while doing it with this ultra-durable GORE-TEX jacket that's just as comfy as it is protective against the elements.

Idk what it is, but I'm a sucker for a good white/off-white kit.

Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima IN Hooded Jacket
11/03

Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima IN Hooded Jacket

Mammut$900
Description

The Mammut x Cabourn Direttissima IN Hooded Jacket is a heritage piece designed in collaboration with British designer Nigel Cabourn, inspired by the adventurous spirit of 1969's Eiger ascent.

It's Mammut, so this $900 jacket is definitely not streetwear. Mammut is for *real* alpinists, not people who live in cities, so you know it's good. Katie Burrell definitely won't show up to the streets of London and tear this right off your body as you walk to an East London Third Wave coffee shop. In fact, I think these are only going to be sold from a pop-up somewhere on the Aletsch Glacier.

TrailTech Short
11/03

TrailTech Short

Description

The TrailTech Short is engineered for long-distance runners seeking comfort and efficiency. Designed with biomechanically positioned storage and integrated hydration solutions, these shorts provide a bounce-free experience for carrying essentials during your run.

The latest from Raide Research, as they slowly expand their collection with more apparel. Especially like the water bottle style and integrated pole loops.

Merino Wool Longsleeve Beige

Description

Crafted from 100% merino wool, this longsleeve provides natural warmth and breathability for cooler temperatures. Its relaxed fit and seamless shoulder construction enhance comfort and freedom of movement, while reflective elements ensure visibility during early morning or late evening runs.

Outdoor Expedition Book 99
11/02

Outdoor Expedition Book 99

Description

The Outdoor Expedition Book 99 is an exquisite exploration of rare classic outdoor items curated by Shigeru Kaneko, the chief buyer At BEAMS.

I had the chance to check out a full exhibition in London last week featuring much of the vintage collection showcased here. It was a very cool dive into the history of mountaineering, apparel, and building techniques.

SUBZERO™ DOWN JACKET
11/01

SUBZERO™ DOWN JACKET

Description

The Subzero™ Down Jacket is a water-resistant outerwear piece designed for ultimate warmth and comfort in cold conditions. Made from ultralight Pertex® Quantum Y Fuse 30D ripstop, it features 650-fill power certified down insulation and a durable nylon overlay at the shoulders and sleeves.

Rippy™ Modular Windbreaker
10/31

Rippy™ Modular Windbreaker

Description

The Rippy™ Modular Windbreaker is an ultra-lightweight, wind-resistant jacket made from Italian ripstop fabric. With a modular design that allows for detachable sleeves, it quickly transforms into a vest, providing adaptability for changing weather conditions.

The modularity is actually quite cool. Satisfy takes a lot of heat but they're still doing some interesting things when in comes to apparel (MothTech is not one of them).

Tech Hoodie Port Vermut
10/31

Tech Hoodie Port Vermut

Description

The Tech Hoodie Port Vermut is a hybrid tech hoodie designed for dynamic outdoor activities. With its bold red color and strategic body mapping, it offers wind protection and breathability, making it ideal for winter running and fast mountain missions.

It's hard to argue against a jacket that Kilian put to the test throughout the entirety of his climbing 14k ft peaks all over Colorado and the West Coast.

T2 Ultra 5
10/31

T2 Ultra 5

Description

The T2 Ultra 5 is a 5L running vest designed for trail running and ultramarathons, featuring advanced T2 High Mount Fit™ 2.0 technology for optimal load distribution and comfort. This limited edition Bordeaux color is available for pre-order for the 2025 season.

The T2 Ultra 5's innovative design and limited edition color make it a must-have for serious trail runners looking for both style and performance.

Exposure 10L Vest
10/31

Exposure 10L Vest

Description

The Exposure 10L Camera Vest is designed for quick access to your gear, blending the accessibility of a vest with the capacity of a 10L backpack. Its unique Y-shaped form wraps around your torso, providing comfort and balance whether you're on the trails or in a coffee shop. Lightweight and equipped with rapid access pockets, this vest is built for those who move quickly and pack with purpose.

It's a running...hiking...camera...vest? This is sone of those things that seems interesting at first glance but after a second of reflection I can't figure out who or what it's really for. I've run hundreds of miles with my Salomon Adv Skin 12 and a camera, and it's also just a great running vest...without being designed for cameras.
