Three words. Non-newtonian polymer.
So essentially, a non-newtonian polymer is a substance that get's harder the more force you put into it. In this case, the Citadels have 12 channels of the stuff in a carbon ski, which means you get a lightweight setup (1700g) that gets stiffer and stiffer the harder you ski (and absorbs chatter). It's very counterintuitive...but it really seems to work. No, really. I don't pretend to understand the science but there's some black magic going on here.
